Indian Navy SSC Officer Eligibility Criteria 2026

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates who have completed graduation or post-graduation, or are in the final year, can apply.

  • Minimum 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA is required.

Educational Institution Criteria (Option 1):

  • The degree must be from a university:

    • Incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or

    • Declared as a Deemed University / Autonomous University under:

      • UGC Act, 1956

      • IIT Act, 1961

      • AICTE Act, 1987

      • NITSER Act, 2007

      • IIIT Act, 2014

OR

Educational Institution Criteria (Option 2):

  • Candidates who have obtained an Engineering degree with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a foreign university/college/institution can also apply.

  • The foreign institution must be recognised by the Government of India for engineering degrees.

  • Candidates must submit an equivalence certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) under the Act of 1973.

Age Limit for Indian Navy SSC Officer 2026

Indian Navy SSC Officer Selection Process 2026

The selection process consists of the following stages:

Training & Commission Details

  • Selected candidates are inducted as Sub-Lieutenant

  • Initial SSC tenure: 12 years, extendable by 2 years
