2. CBT-1 shortlisting cut-off – CEN 05/2025 (13 May 2026)
RRBs published the lowest normalised marks (out of 100) of candidates shortlisted for CBT-2, separately for each post group ("CAT No.") and community. Examples of the UR cut-off from official PDFs:
| RRB | Stage | UR cut-off (out of 100) |
| Ahmedabad | CBT-1 | About 70.4 to 83.2, depending on the post group |
| Kolkata (post group 1) | CBT-1 | 80.29 |
Reserved-category cut-offs are lower and also vary by post group. Open your RRB's PDF to see the exact figure for your post and category.
3. CBT-2 cut-off – CEN 05/2025 (16 September 2026)
For DV shortlisting, RRBs published a community-wise "Merit Index" cut-off for each post group. This is a scaled score used by the RRB, not raw marks. For example, at RRB Ranchi the UR Merit Index cut-off ranged from about 792 to 843 across post groups. Use your scorecard to compare your own Merit Index.
CEN 04/2026
Cut-offs will come with the CBT-1 result, which has not been released yet. Cut-offs differ widely between RRBs and posts, because each RRB has its own vacancies.
