Status on 4 November 2026: The latest Jail Warder recruitment was part of UPPRPB's combined Constable and equivalent posts Direct Recruitment 2025 (32,679 posts), and its final result came out on 14 October 2026. A new Jail Warder notification has not been released yet. Fireman posts were not part of the 2025 advertisement.

UPPRPB released the notification for Constable (Civil Police) and equivalent posts on 31 December 2025. It covered 32,679 posts in total, including Jail Warder (Male) and Jail Warder (Female). The written exam was common for all posts in this advertisement.

Note: one news report printed the Civil Police figure as 10,649; the figure 10,469 matches the total of 32,679 and the final result.

What about Fireman?

Fireman was not part of the 2025 advertisement. The last UPPRPB notice that combined Jail Warder and Fireman was in 2018 (1,679 Fireman posts). No new UPPRPB Fireman notification has been reported as of 4 November 2026.

Next notification

The State Government announced 81,000+ police vacancies for 2026-27 in April 2026 and listed Jail Warder among upcoming posts. Vacancy numbers and dates for the next Jail Warder recruitment have not been published. Keep checking uppbpb.gov.in.
