UPSSSC PET Cut-off

PET has no fixed qualifying cut-off. Instead, each recruitment that uses PET sets its own shortlisting cut-off, based on candidates' normalised PET scores, the number of vacancies and the number of applicants. Candidates at or above the cut-off are called for that post's main exam.

Example: Lekhpal recruitment (7,994 posts), based on PET 2025 scores

For the Revenue Lekhpal recruitment, UPSSSC shortlisted 3,66,712 candidates for the main exam on their PET 2025 normalised scores. The category-wise cut-offs were:

CategoryCut-off (normalised PET score, out of 100)

What this means for you

  • Cut-offs differ from post to post. A post with more vacancies or fewer applicants usually has a lower cut-off.
  • For large recruitments like Lekhpal, the General cut-off was close to 59 out of 100, so aim well above that.
  • Cut-offs for recruitments based on PET 2026 will only be known when UPSSSC announces those recruitments and their shortlists.
