Status on 4 November 2026: CSBC has not released a new general Constable (Sipahi) notification for 2026. The latest completed cycle is Advt No. 01/2025 (19,838 posts), whose final result came out on 27 May 2026. The figures below are from that cycle.

Nationality and education

Indian citizen
Passed Intermediate (Class 12) or equivalent from a recognised board
Reservation benefits are only for residents of Bihar

Age limit (as on 1 August 2025)

Women candidates must also meet the minimum weight of 48 kg.

Medical fitness

Selected candidates must pass a medical examination as per Bihar Police rules. Read the medical standards in the notification carefully before applying.
