CTET Cut-off (Qualifying Marks)

CTET does not have a changing "cut-off" like a recruitment exam. CBSE fixes minimum qualifying marks. If you score these marks in a paper, you pass that paper and receive the CTET eligibility certificate. The marks below apply to every session, including the February 2026 session and the December 2026 session.

Category-wise qualifying marks (each paper, out of 150)

Things to know

  • The pass marks are the same for both Paper I and Paper II.
  • There is no negative marking, so attempt every question.
  • Passing CTET does not guarantee a job. Recruiting bodies such as KVS and NVS run their own selection and may set their own cut-offs.
  • The certificate is valid for life for all categories.
