Delhi Police Constable Syllabus

The CBE is set at Class 10 (matriculation) level and has four parts. Below are the topics from the 2025 notification.

1. General Knowledge / Current Affairs (50 marks)

• Current events of national and international importance
• Sports
• History and culture of India
• Geography
• Economic scene and general polity
• The Indian Constitution
• Everyday science

GK is half the paper, so it decides most of your score. Read the news every day and revise static GK often. Delhi-specific current affairs can also help.

2. Reasoning (25 marks)

• Non-verbal reasoning
• Analogies and similarities
• Series (number and figure)
• Coding and decoding
• Other general mental ability questions of the same kind

3. Numerical Ability (15 marks)

• Number systems
• Percentages, ratio and proportion
• Averages
• Profit and loss
• Time and work
• Mensuration

4. Computer Fundamentals (10 marks)

• Basics of computers
• MS Word: word processing
• MS Excel: basics
• Communication: email
• Internet, WWW and web browsers

Study tips

• Practise full 90-minute mock tests. Each wrong answer costs 0.25 marks, so do not guess blindly.
• Learn computer basics through hands-on practice on Word, Excel and email.
• Train for the 1600 m race and the jumps alongside your studies. PE&MT comes soon after the CBE result.
