How to Apply for SSC CHSL

You can apply only online, at ssc.gov.in. The CHSL 2026 application window closed on 07 October 2026, the last date for fee payment was 08 October 2026, and the correction window ran from 14 to 16 October 2026. Use these steps for the next cycle.

Steps to apply

1. Go to ssc.gov.in and complete One-Time Registration (OTR) if you are a new user.
2. Log in and open the CHSL application form from the "Apply" section.
3. Fill in your personal, educational and category details. Choose three exam centres in order of priority within one SSC region.
4. Upload your photograph and signature as the notice requires.
5. Pay the fee online, submit the form, and download the confirmation page.

Application fee (CHSL 2026)

You can pay through BHIM UPI, net banking, or a Visa, Mastercard, Maestro or RuPay debit card. You can resubmit (correct) the form only twice.

Documents to keep ready

• Aadhaar or another valid photo ID, and a working mobile number and email
• Class 10 certificate (for date of birth) and your Class 12 marksheet
• Category, PwBD or Ex-Servicemen certificate, if applicable
• A recent photograph and your signature in the format given in the notice

Your Class 12 result must have been declared by the qualification cut-off date (07.10.2026 for CHSL 2026). If the result is still being processed on that date, it does not count.
