Super TET Cut-off
2026 cut-off
The 2026 exam (Advt 05/2026) will be held on 3 and 4 December 2026, so no cut-off has been released yet. Since selection is on merit, the final cut-off will be the marks of the last selected candidate in each category, out of 360. Read the official notification on upessc.up.gov.in for any minimum qualifying marks.
Latest official reference: ATRE 2019 (69,000 posts)
The last big Super TET was held on 6 January 2019 for 150 marks. After the exam, the government fixed minimum qualifying marks. The Allahabad High Court upheld them in May 2020.
| Category | Qualifying percentage | Equal to (out of 150) |
|---|---|---|
| General | 65% | 97.5 marks |
| Reserved categories | 60% | 90 marks |
The earlier proposal was 45% for General and 40% for reserved categories, which was challenged in court. With the higher marks, about 1,46,060 of 4,09,530 candidates qualified, and 67,867 candidates were placed in the district allotment list for 69,000 posts.
Important difference in 2026
- The 2026 paper is out of 360 marks with negative marking, so 2019 marks cannot be compared directly.
- Vacancies are fewer (12,405) and only for urban and aided primary schools.
- Category-wise last-selected marks will be known only after the 2026 final merit list.
We will add the official 2026 category-wise cut-off here once UPESSC publishes it.
