UPPRPB published a short notice for 4,543 Sub Inspector and equivalent posts in 2025 and then opened online applications on 12 August 2025 (advertisement PRPB-B (Sub Inspector Cadre) – 03/2025). The window closed on 11 September 2025. The detailed notice (vigyapti) PDF was published on uppbpb.gov.in.
Next cycle: As of 4 November 2026, no new notification for SI Civil Police has been released in the sources we checked. In April 2026 the UP government announced a plan to recruit over 81,000 police personnel in the 2026-27 financial year, including sub-inspectors, and a July 2026 report said post-wise numbers will come through separate UPPRPB notices. No SI vacancy number has been announced yet.
