TRE 4.0 (2026): what has been announced

• In August 2026, BPSC Examination Controller Rajesh Kumar Singh said TRE 4.0 will be held in two stages: a Preliminary Examination and a Main Examination. The BPSC calendar of 14 August 2026 also lists separate prelims and mains dates (to be decided).
• Negative marking will apply to objective-type questions in TRE 4.0.
• The exam may run for one day if applications stay within 5 lakh, or two to three days if they cross 5 lakh.
• Selection is through the written exam, followed by a merit list and document verification. There is no interview.

The exact number of questions, marks, duration and qualifying marks for each stage of TRE 4.0 should be checked in the detailed Advt. No. 15/2026 on bpsc.bihar.gov.in.
