BPSC TRE Salary 2026

BPSC TRE: Salary

Teachers selected through BPSC TRE are appointed as School Teachers (Vidyalaya Adhyapak) by the Bihar Education Department. Pay is a basic pay by level, plus allowances allowed by the state government. The new pension scheme (NPS) applies.

Basic pay by level (as notified for TRE 1.0, 2023)

These figures come from the 2023 recruitment table. TRE 1.0 in 2023 did not include Classes 6–8, so no figure for that level is shown here. Check the pay for every level in the TRE 4.0 advertisement.

What is added to basic pay

• Dearness Allowance (DA) at the rate set by the Bihar government
• House Rent Allowance (HRA), depending on the place of posting
• Medical and other allowances as per state rules
• Employer contribution to the National Pension System

Because DA and HRA change, the in-hand salary is higher than basic pay and differs by district and over time. We do not list an in-hand figure because no official TRE 4.0 figure has been published.

Career growth

• Regular annual increments as per service rules
• Promotion and transfer as per the Bihar school teacher service rules
• Job security in a state government school

For exact pay, allowances and service conditions, read Advt. No. 15/2026 and the Bihar State School Teacher rules on the Education Department website.
