SSC GD Constable: Overview
The SSC GD Constable exam is a national recruitment exam held by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). It fills posts of Constable (General Duty) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and the Secretariat Security Force (SSF), and Rifleman (General Duty) in the Assam Rifles. It is one of the largest government exams for Class 10 pass candidates in India. The 2026 cycle had more than 21 lakh candidates appearing in the computer-based test.
